Richard Winterton Auctioneers Best Kept Village Community Competition

For 2023, auctioneer Richard Winterton – well-known for his appearances on TV antiques shows including Bargain Hunt and Dickinson’s Real Deal – will visit all entrants to present special complementary signage for display throughout the community. Supplementary Competitions

Children's Poster Competition

This competition is open to children between 5 &11 years of age from villages which have entered the Best kept Village Community competition.

Posters should be original and based on the theme of the King's Coronation.

Villages are invited to submit three posters from each age group (either online or via post)

The age categories for the competition are:

5-7 years and 8-11 years

Please include the child's full name, age, school and village on the back of the poster

The deadline for submissions is 1 June

Childrens' Poetry &Prose Competition

This competition is open to children between 5 &11 years of age from villages which have entered the Best Kept Village Community competition.

Villages are invited to submit three poems or prose from each age group (either online or via post)

The age categories for the competition are:

5-7 years and 8-11 years

Please include the child's full name, age, school and village on the back of the entry

The deadline for submissions is 1 June

Spirit of BKVC

This competition is open to entrants over 18 years of age.

Submissions can be paintings or sketches, photographs, poetry or prose or a combination of these (either online or via post)

The deadline for submissions is 1 June

Photography Competition

This competition is open to entrants age 11-17 years (submissions either online or via post)

The theme of 'Best Kept Village Community'

The deadline for submissions is 1 June

There will be awards to the winners in each category.

The winners will be decided by the sponsors and the BKVC Steering Group.
